Rare it the movie action setpiece that pits bad guys against good guys where you wish it would stop and everybody come to some kind of rapprochement or compromise. I hate seeing Ted Levine go down, I hate seeing Dennis Haysbert go down. I actually don't mind seeing Tom Sizemore go down because that's where Tom Sizemore has always been heading. But, man. Or should I say... Mann?

I'm with you, but I would go just a bit further with your last point and say that seeing Sizemore go down is pure catharsis.
That's a director who knows how to stage a scene.
