Affinity #16

Sorry about all the pictures lately. I'll actually write something new shortly.

  1. Holy crap! I have an affinity with that cat too! Thought I was the only one.

  2. Too bad you couldn't find a picture of the cat without that guy in it.

  3. Greg, this comment thread is intended to be used to discuss the films of Jean-Pierre Melville, and/or to praise me.

Please follow these rules in the future.

  4. Jean-Pierre Melville? What an adorable name for a cat! Is the bald guy his owner?

  5. And wait a minute, did you say films? Are they on YouTube? Is it things like Jean-Pierre accidentally falling off the counter or getting himself caught in a paper bag? Ha! I can just see it now. That scamp!

  6. That's Jean-Pierre?! I love that one!

  7. But seriously, great timing, as I've been getting into Melville's films as of late.

  8. Personally, I think the one where Jean-Pierre chases the light of a laser pointer is an underrated masterpiece.

  9. Oh that Jean-Pierre, you can always count on him to be a total goof! I could watch the laser pointer one again and again.

  10. I think you should have an affinity for infinity, one day.

  11. Is Infinity a cat too? What movies is he/she in? I love the one where the cat tries to jump over the toilet and falls in. Ha ha ha! Is that Infinity or Jean-Pierre?

  12. Greg-

Yes, Infinity is the cat that jumps out of Zardoz's mouth at the beginning of that film... remember? Sometimes people just see all of those guns, but there's a cat in their too.

I also think Infinity would make a good stripper name. Probably already is one.

  13. Whoa... Bill just did a "Word Ver" without even posting any other type of comment.

That's probably a landmark event right there.

  14. Well, when "bungs" is the word no other comment is necessary.

Anyway, I'm going to totally check for Infinity next time I watch Zardoz.

Bill, you should definitely do more cat affinity posts. This was a really good one. Thanks for going outside the usual framework for this choice. Seriously though, next time try and get a pic without the owner.

  15. I agree, it's like "Here's this cute cat with a funny French name and... some bald guy with a bow-tie".

  16. Fox, of course Bill loves pussy cats! What do you take him for, a man with a heart of stone?

    It should go without saying.

  17. Is someone gonna pick up Greg's "bald" comment and run with it, or what?? Personally, I just couldn't do that to Bill's blog.

  18. I was leaning towards some kind of joke about hairless (ie "shaved") cats.

    ReplyDelete
  19. But what could anyone find funny about a shaved cat? It's not funny, it's sad.
