On the Shelf: Kingsley

I like the way books look. I think they're very photogenic. I ain't no photographer or nothin', but I might do more of these.

Nice. I love Amis. Have you read Lucky Jim? One of the best modernist novels I've read. I think his son, Martin, trumps him though. I like this feature. Keep doing it.

I think everybody who has even heard of Kingsley Amis has at least read LUCKY JIM. It's a great book, but for my money Amis's masterpiece if THE FOLKS WHO LIVE ON THE HILL. I feel like nobody but me has read it, and I will continue to push it on everybody who I think might actually track it down, until I can change the world.

And I will keep doing this. I'm about to do another one -- why not? -- and I'll probably do one or two more through the weekend.

Bookshelves like this are indeed photogenic! More please. I need to read LUCKY JIM as well as THE GREEN MAN.
